Boss said we would win so much we might get tired of winning but we are gonna keep on winning!
WINNING!!!
As former student of Texas A&M (Class of 1980), I am mortified that this was even offered in the first place.
I would imagine Texas A&M listens to its alumni. If you aren’t already, I encourage you to get plugged into the alumni network and go on the offense to actively engage the university’s leaders to continue to make positive changes like this. The first shoe to drop?
Is it really a win? Looking at the attached document, it's removing useful programs like petroleum engineering. The rainbow flag program is marked "keep"
The document shows that the college requested to keep LGBTQ studies. Over to the right column on that same page it shows that the provost denied the college’s request. It is getting axed.
As for petroleum engineering - I hear you on that but it seems that it wasn’t a very in-demand program from students. Other universities offer excellent petroleum engineering programs so I think Texas A&M is just making a decision there based on supply and demand.
As well as Jewish Studies. I wonder how well Christian Studies is doing.
FARMERS FIGHT!
What even do they study? Lessons in sodomy?
Seriously???? THAT's a REAL degree????
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
But why? . . LOL!
GTFOH!
