Wow. I didn't know a lot of that stuff about Flynn, that's crazy.
I have been dubious about a good deal of the things Flynn has said in the time since Trump issued him a pardon. I think the majority of us feel that same way about him.
I did hear good things about the book he released however. I enjoyed the sequel of that Dark to Light documentary film and I thought he made decent contributions to that also. Interesting that both of those were likely paid activities, though.
One other thing to add about Flynn is how he has gone after Lin Wood, Jan Halper Hayes and other folks in the MAGAsphere, trying to expose them and out them as grifters.
Not saying they aren't, nor anyone else Flynn has called out, but I tend to be wary of people throwing a lot of stones. They often live in a glass house themselves, it seems.
Just haven't been able to formulate a consistent opinion on him one way or another.
Anyone can change and surprise you. We have been seeing a lot of this lately in the latter days of Trump's campaign. RFK Jr, Vivek, Tulsi and other former adversaries have turned to allies.
Look at Steve Bannon and how he had been calling out Elon Musk as a fraud for so long. Now we all are recognizing the critical work Elon has done to help Trump and he's become a hero in the MAGA world. God uses everyone toward his purposes, and anyone can be a force for good despite past transgressions.
Except the pedo elites of course. No mercy for souls that blackened.
Kinda petered out on the whole 'benefit of doubt' thing tbh...
From a purely 'practical' standpoint, I'd rather be surprised about someone being good than be surprised about someone being bad, it saves time and limits damage.....
I feel much the same. In general I think we are a pretty forgiving crowd, but much like Trump, our nerves are pretty shot from bad faith actors taking advantage of the 'benefit of the doubt' as you say.
Trump is a bit of a soft touch as we know, but he too is running low on second chances he's willing to give out. And disloyalty is the ultimate sin in his book, so Flynn is probably one of the many who've been excommunicated with prejudice.
Thing is, giving someone several chances isn't the same as trusting someone so I wouldn't so much describe him as a 'soft touch' as I would say that he seems to be an actual good person(That soul was Patton, soft is not the right word, at all...)

As it should be.

I'm agreeable as to the terminology used. And you're right, at this point nothing Trump-related should be described as 'soft'
I concede the point
