Americans used to want to do those jobs but employers preferred to hire illegals. Construction, lawn care, hotel maids, etc. Americans did those jobs until they were pushed out.

People (any age) that are in grass cutting professionally can make very good money - 100k + is pretty attainable for a 1 man operation.

I’m 70 still mow my own yard, still shoveling my driveway, my 10 year grandson makes good money mowing other yards he even has the local cemetery lawn to do. Brought himself last summer a 4 wheel this summer a dirt bike.
