I was only looking at the number of $546B spent on tax prep, and if that revenue is no longer there, that is a sizable chunk to suddenly miss. So maybe "industry" was the wrong word. But tax accountants will be impacted.
Subtract form 1a, from subsection b. The allowable amount is then added to the gross. Calculate the difference by the amount owed and carry that difference to section f. Your net cost is then subtracted from the total. ??? JHC ???
I realized that but it is still important because I run a business and we have to go to tax preparer every April. Spend at least 400 bucks on tax prepare.
fyi...IRS has already been largely neutralized. Media is hiding it. SCOTUS ruled on 27JUN24 all IRS tax courts null and void, 28JUN24 all IRS rules and regulations null and void, 01JUL24 all IRS agents are individually liable for “unofficial acts” which include attempts to enforce voided rules in voided courts.
IRS must sue you in Federal Court now, and you file motion to dismiss for 1. No jurisdiction and 2. No standing - they cannot prove actual damages from you not paying taxes.
"Rules and regulations" are NOT laws; Article I (Congress) cannot delegate law making authority to Article II (Executive) agencies. Applies to all Article II agencies.
No immunity for "unofficial acts" for POTUS and all of Article II Executive Branch.Includes all states and county corps (MSCs) if they are shown to be "owned by" or subsidiaries of US Treasury (Article II "dept") [my comment]
The entire accounting industry is shitting bricks right now.
Clearly you don't understand the accounting industry. I am an accountant and cannot wait for the IRS to be completely shut down....
Tax accounting is only one of many accounting disciplines....

They absolutely will be impacted
Yes. I understand.
One of the largest lobbying groups in DC is probably the tax prep guys!
Dump the IRS and all those mofos.
Yes. Flat tax.
No taxes. The Amendment was never passed.
I'll go for no taxes.
IRS needs to go. Has been an Illegal entity from its conception.
Agree 110%

Might as well design rockets with that form.
Eliminate the IRS and us a flat federal sales tax. EEEEZZZZZ
Eliminate IRS: YES. Flat federal sales tax: NOPE. Tariffs only, just as the Founding Fathers intended.
Tariffs won't be enough. A flat federal tax and eliminate all other taxes, state and local sales tax, all property taxes and so on!
Right.
I almost posted this yesterday until I realized that it was an ad.
I realized that but it is still important because I run a business and we have to go to tax preparer every April. Spend at least 400 bucks on tax prepare.
I agree with that.
Lucky you. My last tax return cost almost €5k.
It’s a scam, a racket and criminal extortion.
Ouch.

I am not going to pay my taxes come next year then. I guess they can sue me in Federal Court if it comes to it. Thank you so much.
