They included the penny, which is copper-plated, The 1943 penny had a mint error and so it is worth a lot. https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/how-rare-is-a-1943-penny-3970325
After 1982, pennies have been made mostly of zinc, with copper plating, so if the penny is going to be valuable it could be due to either 1) zinc being valuable or 2) during a crisis having some cash and change in hand could be important
There is another way for currency to gain value. Deflation. You might actually be able to get a stick of chewing gun for a penny again. kek
Pennies before 1982 are still valuable assets usually worth more in copper than their face value. All nickels are usually worth more in nickel than their face value. Check Coinflation for latest value.
Lead (in tapered cylinder form) is also a precious metal nowadays.
Great username!
Thanks SwampRangers! You have a mission-related great name too! Thanks for the coinflation info!
John 3:16 in the USA was the one of the most well known verses back in the ‘80s. I picked Malachi chapter 3 vs 16 because it is a reminder of God’s name. As GAW is diverse in spiritual opinions , yet united in the goal of exposing the evils of the elitists of the world, I don’t often share about the topic of God, but I will join in with others when prayer is requested.
For frens interested, “LORD” in caps (we were taught stands in for the consonants YHWH) yet Josephus who surrendered to the Romans around A.D. 70 wrote in his memoirs that YHWH letters are actually vowels..
Here is a link to Josephus and his writing about God’s name with 4 vowels (which would be the Y, the H, W, and Again H): https://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/text?doc=Perseus%3Atext%3A1999.01.0148%3Abook%3D5%3Awhiston+chapter%3D5%3Awhiston+section%3D7
And here is an article discussing this topic. https://library.biblicalarchaeology.org/department/faq-did-ancient-hebrew-have-vowels/
As for pronunciation, that might not be a topic for here, maybe in the general daily chat.
I try to pay cash for everything. For years I have emptied my pockets into one of those bulk olive jars at the end of the day. Until 2018 or so Id take it to my banks free coin star type thing and end up with any where from 700 to 1k dollars. Id use it to buy my wifes Christmas gifts.
In 2018 I continued saving it but stopped taking it back each year. I have 7 or 8 of those olive jars now completely filled with coinage. There is a chunk there lol. The jars are heavy as shit.
