If I am not mistaken, this is the same agent who shot people in 2020 on the subway... and walked. 'the agent claimed he acted in self-defense'

Yeah something like that but I'd bet the guy I met was a hit man, just by his demeanor. If you figure the process is part of the punishment, when he was arrested for shooting a guy on a train, he was let go. It looks a lot like strings being pulled to yank him free of the judicial process.
Now however, he was arrested while knowing he was an FBI agent, rather than just seeming like some rando crazy who opened fire in a crowded public area. If he was still enjoying immunity and protections, these arrests would never have happened.
