Of course fren...wish I could remember the year but I attended a free talk a University, they must have paid him. It was in a large theatre on Campus. Dr. Hynek gave an overview of his early career and how he was hired by the Air Force to investigate UFOS for Blue Book. At the time he was extremely skeptical about the sightings and that was exactly the way the Air Force wanted it. However when Hynek began in investigating reports by pilots, law enforcement and other trained observers he changed his mind. Later, after Blue Book was closed, Hynek developed his Close Encounter Rankings; of the First, Second & Third kind.
He gave his talk with a photos on a huge screen with examples of some of the most fascinating photos he investigated. Afterwards, he held a Q & A and audience members went up to a microphone in the aisle. He seemed shocked when I asked my question if he had any theories about what exactly the
Foo Fighters were since most people were asking about Blue Book. He said that he was fascinated about them also but knew they weren't flak.
Thank you for sharing. I watched the TV show Project Blue Book a few years back. Very interesting and illusive stuff. I've also heard that Area 51 has been doing reverse technology on those crafts for decades. Hence I'm surprised Elon's Space X aren't creating those crafts and still doing the old fashion NASA style rockets.
You're welcome! I believe many of the sightings over the years have been aircrafts that we've built from alien technology. Guess the technology will be slow rolled out...but who knows?
Iβm just waiting for them to park a Giant Saucer or Spaceship or something over a major urban area. Ala Independence Day style. Now thatβd be an event in of itself.
What is it about that film? Maybe it is because I am the same age but it tells a story much better than all the modern sci-fi movies and it manages it without loads of special effects.
I do wonder how "Klaatu barrada nikto" sounded so Indo-European as a language even though it was an alien language. "Klaato (name) barred not." Gort, the ultimate: Get out of jail free card!

It's a very entertaining story that definitely stirs the imagination. I highly recommend listening. If for nothing else, it's a nice throwback to the days of radio programs before television. There's a bit of preface in the beginning, explaining various "housekeeping" things, but it gets rolling soon after.
Couple some of what's conveyed in this publication with a bit of open mindedness along with the possibility that the moon map is a true representation of our realm, and the definition of extraterrestrial, literally meaning "extra land" - and things like the possible origins of UAPs/UFOs comes into focus. Admiral Byrd said there was "extra" land bigger than the United States...Was he lying? Who knows... it's fun to think of alternative possibilities...
You are a veritable wealth of information TaQo! Sounds interesting...you had me at Admiral Byrd! Will have to listen to it in several different sittings. Thanks!
It was mentioned in Project Blue Book.
In 1952, a dozen UFOs outran a team of U.S. Airforce fighter jets flying over Washington D.C.

I actually got to see Dr. J. Allen Hynek speak at a University and was able to ask him a question about the WWII FOO FIGHTERS.
Wow, that must be quite the experience. What was his answer to your question?
It was an amazing experience!
If you have time and in the mood, please do share more :) Would love to hear more.

That no one had identified what they were or their origin...I expected that answer..

Space X will legit look like horse and buggy factory after people witness a proper spaceship or UAP.
Just like this...

Michael Rennie was ill that day

In colour, too!

I know...the colorized version was a surprise for me!
And I agree, it's so much better than later films. The scenes inside the craft and Klaatu still look fresh to me...a Classic!

Before we see any alien ships, I'd recommend reading this book recently discovered in my book pile:

or for a paperback:
