Wouldn't it be interesting if it became known to the general public that the USS Liberty attack was conducted by Israel and that LBJ personally prevented US assets from aiding during the attack and later covered up the incident entirely simply because Israel and he had some kind of agreement regarding eliminating a problem for Johnson's personal ambitions on November 22, 1963.
It would sure be interesting if that coup was exposed and all the fallout that would have from then to today.
Rescue assets were recalled by Sec of Defense McNamara because he mistakenly believed the attack was being carried out by the Russians. McNamara had removed Liberty’s normal escort leaving it vulnerable.
It is more than likely that Liberty was gathering intel on Arabs and their Russian allies, to be shared with Israel.
