Toothpaste
1 cup Baking Soda, 1/3 cup salt, 1/2 cup vegetable glycerin, add enough water to mix into paste.
You can add your own essential oils that you like.
Hair Coloring
Instead of all the chemicals and unpronounceable things, you can use henna. The only problem with henna is, unless you are a red head, it's hard to control the color. It will turn your hair into someone like Horatia of CSI: Miami.
Here is what you can do with henna.
- Add coffee - turn it darker
- Add essential oil - last longer, I like to use Rosemary oil
- Add Gentian - turn it more brown and darker
Unfortunately, you have to adjust the color yourself. I cannot give you an exact formulation on this.
Dog Food
Breakfast - 1 raw egg, 1/2 cup raw ground meat, 1/3 cup raw organ meat marinated with Turmeric, garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne pepper. You can also add Ginger or Cinnamon.
Dinner - Bone broth, ham neck, chicken or turkey, can tuna or salmon
Once a week, I fast the dogs for 24 hours. They get bone broth from crock pot that evening. I make enough bone broth to last them throughout the week. Solly is right now 18 and will be 19 soon. He can still hike 7 miles.
Vaccine Replacement for dogs
Heartworm - Ivermectin and Fenbendazole
During the warmer season or I should say mosquito season, I switch between Ivermectin one day and Fenben the next.
Ticks
Ledum 200C during tick season. One dose equals 3 pallets. I use that for one week straight. Stop it for 2 weeks before starting the protocol again.
Rabies
I know everyone including my own family members would scream and yell about Rabies vaccine and wanting to inject. Here is something you can do without the vaccine. Please check out homeopathic medicine

I woould recommend growing tobacco near doors.
For smoking and barter, certainly, when one harvests it and cures it, but I grow it for burns, scrapes, cuts and bites. As in, run to door, grab a leaf and wrap it around the booboo. I have even done this on the way to the A & E for stitches, and they are always amazed at how clean and calm the wound is, by the time we get there.
One of my children got a horrendous burn from a kettle full of hot water once and we dumped her in an ice-bath. We then wrapped her in tobacco leaves for weeks. She had lost a decent chunk of skin, and yet, there is no scar.
It is an anaesthetic (t reduces pain), antispeptic and styptic - (stops bleeding quickly) and better than comfrey IMO.
BTW I got the idea of tobacco as medicine in a Malaysian Jungle
Thank you.
Dark or Burley?
I don't know, try a bunch of different strains. I had a black pipe tobacco that was very strong, it even did a perennial thing where it made an effort the second year, and self seeded. the Virginia strains are lovely and tall.
Thanks. Will try any of them.
Before there was anti-perspirant, the 'old timers' would use baking soda sprinkled in their hand and smeared under their underarms. I use toothpaste, but I always finish up brushing with baking soda, especially on the tongue to eliminate mouth odors.
Thank you for this. Definitely not using J & J baby powder.
I hear that. I have/had twin girl cousins. My aunt/their mother, always bought J&J baby powder and lots of Avon bath powders. One of my twin cousins was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and died. Her twin sister 'since they shared the same DNA' also was prone to dying from this same cancer. So my aunt had her have a complete hysterectomy at the age of 30. Both girls were Autistic, but I think the vaccines caused that because before age 3 they were both perfectly normal. Anyway, that's what baby powder (talc) and government vaccines cause you.
I used to purchase JJ baby powder but somehow, my body just rejected the thing after a while so I stopped.
I am sorry about your aunt and your cousins.
That's been over 20 years ago. The remaining cousin still writes letters to me and signs both her and her twins name at the bottom.
Nice. I love that.
I am female, Mary. It's ok. Many believe I am male but it's all right.
You've had me fooled for a long time. But it's okay, I have another female friend on board. The J&J powder was a dead giveaway. No man would worry about such a thing.
Oh. That's how you know?
Wow. This is post of the day.
I agree, especially for the mouth. But I have since discovered Eau de Toilette.
In the eighteenth century it was very popular to us a spritz of alcohol to kill bacteria. I am a great fan: One can make one's own - with vodka and DROPS of essential oil, or by steeping cinnamon/clove/staranise/allspice/rosemary/lavender in a jar, (shoutout for that excellent no-hangover moonshine). One could feasibly use a dropper, or an old-fashioned art-deco spritz bottle, to dispense the magic Medieval-Victorian scalp/armpit/weird fungus SOS juice.
But many EDT brands on the market will tell you the essential oils they are using, so there is a whole playground out there.
One relatively cheap bottle will easily last for ages. But, IDK, get several and experiment?
Citrus scents are really cleansing, but don't last long. That is actually a good thing, in the 'freshening up' scope of events. And I mean - the sterilizing effects last up to 24 hrs. Then one can tailor things in term of olfactory delights, like going for frankincence scents (power nineties) which work wonderfully. Actually, frankinsence powders are really good too, which is another subject.
Oh and avoid animal musks - cheap women's scnets like Charlie, and many male ones have it, and it turns into cat-piss/essence of gym. Usually a bit of research on an EDT forum will soon tell you if you are buying a little sunshine, or dark satanic mill stuff.
Good to know. Thanks.
😳 Onion is toxic to dogs!
That's what we have been told and also garlic and grapes. My dog is 18 and still playing with a 1.5 year old Rottweiler. He had been fed that formulation since 10 (when I got him).
Impressive!
Another anon here will meet him this coming April. I am taking a vacation to the east coast with them.
That's awesome 🙂
Amen
I read that a clove of minced garlic mixed in dog food repels fleas.
i wish someone could help my dog, he's so sick. He has an enlarged prostate and a urinary infection. Only 7 years old. I took him to the vet, they gave him IV and antibiotics. About 3 or 4 days later he seemed back to his usual self. .. 2 or 3 really good days then down hill fast. throwing up last night, wouldn't eat anything today. Can't even keep water down. Extremely weak. Still has a week left of antibiotics but now he won't even take a piece of food, (even hot dog) so I don't know how to get the antibiotics into him and they've probably ruined his good gut bacteria so he can't digest food .... I don't know. He was so good 2 days ago.... It's 6:30am here and I've had no sleep but I have to get some now, I just have to. I'll check back here for suggestions when I get up....I pray he will still be alive then.... he is beside me. I've paid the vet $400 and I just can't afford more.. lost my job because of COVID SCAMDEMIC after 14 years.. I pray God performs a miracle for my little guy Frodo.
I will pray for Frodo to get well.
Thank you.
Antibiotic (the pharma type) is very bad for the stomach, no wonder he would be throwing up and unable to eat after a while. It destroys flora and fauna of the gut.
Of course, with an infection, you want some antibiotic to take care of that. How about I recommend Oregano oil in a pill form and Usnea tincture?
Slowly introduce food.
Fasting for couple of days are not going to hurt.
Oregeno is great I take it but I can't get anything down his throat of capsule form. never heard of Usnea tincture, I'll look for that. I am getting pumpkin seed oil and rosemary oil. Water won't stay down right now. Thank you for your help i really appreciate it.
I am praying for your dear dog.
Can you make some bonebroth (very little salt, but some is actually useful) and dropper coolish/body warmth liquid into his mouth every 15 minutes or so until say a cup has been swallowed? Keep him warm, and massage his paws and tummy, lots. Also talk to him. If he even stirs an ear or a little wag, he might make it. They do shut down and attempt to 'sleep it off' but you have to keep checking his temperature often. If he gets really cold and doesn't respond to anything, it may be the end, sorry. The other good thing a teaspoon is pure unslated butter, which he might lick off your finger. Even smear it on his tongue and let it melt - he might swallow, and that'll be a victory. The fat will control or slow down the sensational, catastrpohic microbiome action going on.
I hate to say this, but what is the antibiotic you are using? research the name and see if it has been 'enhanced' with fluoride. I am no vet, but consider stopping - up to you. I believe, my dog died from that stuff, but she might have been on her way out anyway. Color will be pinkish, to hide the slight purple from fluoride. Those antibiotics can be very aggressive, and cause colic symptoms. The tummy pain can send animals (and people) right into the weeds.
Thanks, very interesting ideas.
Can you tell I love dogs? LOL
+1 natural Hair coloring — good recommendations, here’s more from nutrition speaker Barbara O’Neill https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s50VE5UsQeE ____ summary: green drinks provide the mineral balance of B vitamins and copper (balancing zinc) so that hair does not go gray or white too early, and for me, over 45, I find that Spirulina from Nature’sPlus Source of Life (only 1 scoop of the powder instead of their recommended 2 scoops daily) works for me.
Great dog food recommendations! For dog treats, my friend’s husky like a taste of Italian grown einkorn pasta (no glyphosates in their soil) and his brother’s dog, part coon hound, likes watermelon (potassium and good for hydration).
Thank you so much for the hair coloring recommendation. Like I said to someone else, shampoo and hair coloring was something else to figure out.
Awesome! Thanks for taking point BD!
You are welcome.
Supposedly dogs should not have onion though.
I like info like this. Thanks. Anyway to perma sticky this post so it doesn't fade away? Then folk could update it over time...
