Time stamp 10:14 - Trump press conference video clip (from a few days ago) where he comments on the 'drone frenzy' sitch. Trump said that the govt. & our military know what they are/what's going on and Trump expresses frustration that the govt. is hiding this info from the public.

I agree with Chris Martensen than this drone operation is not directly about looking for radiological signals. The drones are meant to be seen by the public, which is why they fly at night with their lights on.
