it's called the pornography of grief. it's related to doom scrolling, these are spirits. we know satan has willing vessels who do unspeakable evil. when you pray for those in positions of power your petition is for them to be a terror to evil works, capturing the willing vessels of evil and meeting out punishment. I've heard Father Ripperger (exorcist) explain that demons cannot put images or anything into your head unless there's a basis for them already in your head. Meaning the more horror/ porn/ evil acts you see, the more they have to work with. Obviously we cannot bury our heads in the sand, but we must pray for God's power over us, and not look for things we don't need.
