Excellent post, I ponder the same types of things all the time. It always makes me think of the (spoiler alert) last part of the hunger games when Katniss fires the arrow into the new lady who claims to be their savior. She saw thatthe only way to end the tyranny was if nobody took over. last but not least don’t forget there’s an antichrist in there somewhere.
The phrase, Trust but verify comes to mind... can we Vet any of the people mentioned, and if they are not able to be vetted, then what? The Media in recent decades has been show to lie, obfuscate and misrepresent stories. While it would be easy and simpler if you could paint someone as a White hat or a Black hat, the world just doesn't work like that.
Also, major part of the congressional system was to represent people from far flung areas of the nation. With instant communications distance is no longer an issue.
This entire nation needs to be heavily decentralized and limited. We currently have the largest most corrupt ruling class in human history. I would love to see this nation operate as the founders intended. I think that is where we are going. Also, people infiltrating then diverting movements is common. Our nation was usurped without arms but more deception and Lawfare.
Lastly, I do believe we have a sort of ANTI WEF and Trump is a part of it. First things first. The dept of ed must go.
You make it sound like we should blame ourselves because our government failed us.
I for one have been carving out a life against all odds. I suspect I am not alone. We can be awake and feel uncomfortable with each of these players but we all can't be expected to spend hours each day baby sitting our leaders. At some point we need to feel safe enough in our personal lives to do so but right now many of us are battle weary. We recognized the need to stay engaged but watching the games, lack of justice and not knowing who will be next to die, we step back for a break.
Even if we have a gut feel about someone's integrity we are told we should trust the plan or that we need to believe in Trump.
My true hope is that we move into an age of light and enlightenment, and the traditional ways of doing things are moot. When you imagine a true heaven on earth experience, if all the evil is removed and there’s nothing but goodwill on earth what would it be like? Would there be need for a government of any sort?
Most people are some shade of grey, there are very few you could call fully white or fully black. Admittedly it can be difficult sometimes to figure exactly what shade of grey, and if it might be either light enough or too dark a shade.
But I suppose that could even be the whole point. Learn how to evaluate ideas based on the potential merits of the idea itself, not just who said it.

Point of the OP.
"Trust but Verify"......Ronny understood.
Never Relax. The battle between good and evil is eternal and constant with every decision.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer!
Trump is forcing them into the light!
Dragging them by their greed ?
yes, the Entire thing is an immersive educational experience to awaken us from the illusion, and change future behavior.
to me, it feels like detention; re-teaching, etc.
like you said, we gave up critical thinking. this is how God is reminding us. tough love...😎

I always thought of gray as the devil's color. Just enough black to muddy the waters and confuse those looking for the light
