My guess is that those girls get their news from someplace like Tik Tok, not MSM. So even if MSM published those news, they would not have heard unless somebody they follow on social media had noticed and talked about it.

That type of people are presumably not the target, but I gather that MSM rarely published that type of news also on purpose, because from what I have read most of your states have lots of more or less absurd laws pretty much nobody knows about, and which aren't obvious even to law-abiding citizens who don't want to commit any crimes. And the "on purpose" part would be because that gives the corrupt portion of authorities something they can use against individuals who might become troublesome to them due to political reasons because it makes it more likely they might find something that at the very least can tie those "problem citizens" up in courts, and make them lose money, in order to occupy them with that instead of trying to fight said authorities for something.
