In videos posted here, a giddy Newsom talked about clearing the way to rebuild a better Los Angeles 2.0. It reminded me of the WEF “build back better.” I wonder if this is planned to be a model WEF city, with Newsom expecting major benefits from WEF.
Perhaps he is looking to implement the blueprint for “Smart LA 2028” from 2020 or something like it.
I don't mean any harm here, but the Olympics need to be moved to another US city. I fully expect LA to be built back as one of their 15 minute cities, and this executive order is likely designed to help get their US model up and running in record time before the Olympics.

But, Calif building codes state that at least one exterior wall must be present or it is a new construction.
Almost none of these structures have an exterior wall that would be able to be kept while the rest of the house was rebuilt around it.
Because new construction permits are so difficult to obtain in Calif, you will see countless houses torn down to just one wall and rebuilt when a new owner buys a house no matter how bad the house was.
Also, Calif has insane regulations like if you want to remove a large concrete slab you need an arborist to write a report stating no trees will be harmed.
Depending on the intensity of the fire, some of those concrete slab foundations will need to be removed and repoured before construction can begin.

The normal permit process could take well over a year, now add the fact that the permit dept will be overwhelmed with applications and the process will be a nightmare for homeowners.
He should be hauled into court for class discrimination. What about the low and middle wage earners who are denied cheaper housing builds d/t the costly regulations, now being waived for quick rebuilds by people who lost their homes or Newsome’s cronies who will sweep in and build multi-family units. Kick his butt out of office now and people of California need to vote in a non-biased people friendly governor who is anti climate change.
Global Warming will suspend itself out of sympathy for the fire victims the way COVID-19 suspended itself out of sympathy with liberal protesters in 2020.
