You are right, I stand corrected, it is not exactly in the Seattle area but is in the northern area my cousins live in that they consider the circle of doom. Mt Vernon, Bellingham. Population centers is probably more accurate than Seattle area. A lot of slithering goes on.
I'm betting that any ICE units sent there would outnumber the PoPo department by twice the numbers. And then you'd have a few local police who would act as confidential informants and provide ICE all the info they need to round up illegals. Local police are fed up with the troubles caused by illegals too because they are on the front line and encounter these folks daily.
As far as their police force, quick story - I attended a protest around there in 2020 or 2021 when WA was about to mandate vaccines for kids to go to school. My sign said IS IT SCIENCE OR COMPLIANCE??? My spouse's sign said KIDS ARENT LAB RATS!!! There were about a dozen of us on the sidewalk holding our signs - you know - a peaceful ptotest.
The cops came and I reached out to shake one"s hand, his handshake was the limpest, wimpiest handshake I have ever encountered and he said he didn't understand my sign, I tried to tell him and he just said I was wrong and was spreading misinformation! Like he was reading from a card. Anyway, just couldnt believe he was a cop
