So basically what this means is that if there is a database table containing social security numbers and there is nothing in the code that automatically removes duplicate Social security numbers. Translation... the system is designed for FUCKING FRAUD. I hope we can get statistics on the most duplicates of a single social number and the total number of unique duplicates in the database. I bet the numbers will make the average American PUKE.
Agreed. Not a design flaw. I wonder who signed off on it. My guess is, this was eliminated from the original scope when digitizing ... Or ... even worse: it was designed under the Roosevelt admin to be this way ....
No wonder Social Security is broke. SO many of these illegals are getting mutiple payouts? That seems to be so. Now make sure the voter rolls are purdge also.
Once I was told by the bank that I had an account at another branch in TX. I had never used this bank at all, upon further review they found someone had an acct, with my SS# but a different name. I never found out anything else just that their fraud department was gonna look into it. In 2012 I received notice that my ss# and my daughters were both stolen from SSA. They offered me a year of credit monitoring….
You also cannot get another ss# ever….
Incorrect on replacing your SSN. Not trying to be a dick, this person had a bunch of fraud against his ID. Had a close friend who had to replace theirs a long while back due to fraud. They were young and just started in the workforce.
"The Social Security Administration (SSA) will replace your Social Security number (SSN) if you can prove that your identity has been stolen and that it continues to be a problem.
If someone has used your SSN to open new credit accounts, file false income tax returns, or engage in other fraudulent activities, you may be eligible for a new number.
However, the SSA has strict requirements for changing someone's SSN and will not provide a new number to avoid the consequences of bankruptcy or to evade the law."
Not surprised. Went to the emergency room a couple years ago. Gave them my SSN. They said I owed them money. Impossible. I had never been to that hospital. Then they proceeded to tell me the name I gave them didn't match my SSN. I was able to prove who I was and that it was my SSN. They refused to give me any info on the fake person and when I requested it be turned into the fraud department, they blew me off and would not do that. I was "assured" that they had corrected my info in their system. Not exactly trusting them...
I thought someone ran the numbers and the ssn digits do not allow for enough numbers for the entire country to be unique. At some point every number gets recycled
It's almost beyond words how badly the criminal system has phucked the American people. No wonder this country is completely bankrupt. Once the stealing begins it's no stopping these blood sucking demons until the blood runs dry. We as a country were nearly there. That's why the blob has wanted to make us sick and stupid, to send our youth to war and kill the rest of us off. So that there would be less people to rise up against this evil criminal class and take our country back. Well they misjudged God's great plan for our nation. Now they are going to FAFO what happens to thieves and traitors. NCSWC 🐸
It means 10 people playing the lottery ALL had the ONLY winning ticket and they all got paid the FULL jackpot. 9 of them were crooks with forged counterfiet tickets. And the people working at the lottery should all be fired for incompetency or complicity.
It means that the column for SSN doesn't have to be unique.
Typically a value is constrained at the database level to prevent multiple entries of the same value, but no such constraint was put on SSN, meaning there could be multiple entries of the same SSN but tied to different people

Did the Banks cashing the cheques know anything about this? did they have any system that red flagged duplicate direct deposits?
what do banks care, they rely on account/routing not ssn. thats just to open an account but you can also open an account without one (trusts).

No wonder the dead keep voting & collecting SS payments.
First rule of Document Management Systems.... No duplicate identifying numbers. Yeah, that's on purpose.
You have got to be f'ing kidding, I knew about people getting dead SS# but had no idea that my SS# could assigned to someone else.
Bathhouse slick Hussein..... his social security number did not check out ....

It just gets deeper and deeper!

De-duplicated? Sounds like complicated language to my smooth brain.

In a modern RDB, doesn't at least one column neer to be the unique key? Makes me wonder what kind of system they use. It must be ancient.
So that's a rule for the column basically? Makes sense put like that, thank you. You made it very easy to understand.
So how does this relate to our credit reports? Or using something like Lifelock to secure your SS#??
