Heroes from before slavery. Heroes that put 20th century black heroes to shame.

Oh nearly missed a chance to plug Hillsdale Colleges free Pocket Constitution offer. You can also buy them in bulk at affordable rates. I buy a couple hundred every year and leave them on the desk at Libraries or donate them to the schools in my area. Ive even left them next to the guestbook at weddings and funerals and distributed them at school board and township board meetings.
You know what : I just put one of those hillsdale pockets constitution books in my purse last night ! I hand them out to and you know …. I forgot where I got them and I had a bunch that were in a little side area of my desk that I found, like six of them left and I thought I got to give these out and I’m so glad you told me because I’ll grab more! I realize it missy say where I got them but it just happened yesterdsy so I didn’t look yet ,,, you beat me to it . I’ll order we the people right now thank you Fren ! That does sound like nice gifts . It’s amazing how many people including myself ( and I’ve read recently ) don’t know the constitution, Bill of rights .. I’m going to get a wall plaque, so I can read in passing ! Ty again
I love this ! You’d be surprised , well no your not ) of how many people don’t know even one line of the constitution , I bet 95 percent or more ! Schools should teach from first grade on up
I just ordered both . I was so pleased to see the cover of the American story ! The famous Washington crossing on the Delaware . I loved the cover of the founders Bible too , I believe it is only the paper cover, but still it’s beautiful thank you it will be a great adoption to the collection I’m putting together got my kids !
History and civics should be required course work from 1st through 12th grade. Our kids should have nearly the equivalent of a BA in American History when they graduate HS. They should know the Constitution inside and out and be able to recall and remark on all of the SCOTUS cases that shaped our Nation.

I carry my pocket Constitution where ever I go. I have it on my person at all times.
Just checked .. my pocket constitution bill of rights came from young liberty ! :) so glad different places are getting them out

...ironically, the teachers would need to be trained to teach these classes...
Personally, I think [they] should take notes from Jonestown. That would be a much better outcome for us.
