Did she frame him? Or, did she turn into an Eric Holder torpedo aimed at Zimmerman before it had a chance to arm itself?
Reading through the history of the case it seems like his Not Guilty Verdict short circuited Holder from bringing a Federal case. If we war gamed what would have happened to Zimmerman if this case was never brought against him, my hunch is it would have been worse for him, not better. As painful and risky as it was, that Not Guilty Verdict had a lot of value.
I think she had blinders on with that whole episode and was just trying to quash things as fast as possible so th State of Florida didn't look bad. Is it wrong? Yes. But I don't think it makes her a bad person or someone we need to watch out for.
Trayvon Martin didn't need to die that night, and Zimmerman didn't need to pull that trigger. All he should've done was record Martin climbing out of that window, alert the police, and follow the kid to wherever he was going and let the LEGAL process work itself out.
That episode is a prime example of a very untrained idiot with delusions of grandeur trying to play the hero in his own warped storyline. Just owning a gun doesn't make anyone a hero or a badass. A true hero or badass will get the training necessary so they never even have to brandish it. Owning any weapon comes with inherent responsibilities that MUST be adhered to. Period.
Martin and Zimmerman were two idiots of the same cut of cloth who just happened to try to onoutwit the other's idiocy. Nobody wins in that game. That's the real tragedy here.

One. Ping. Only.
That and they were trying to use Zimmerman as the poster child for getting rid of Stand Your Ground laws and concealed carry.
