If/when their prevailing overlords and their occupying foreign mercenary force are cast down and destroyed, I'd like to see a 2A equivalent embraced by the new regime for exactly that reason. So there are more measures in place to stop any political decay before things get as bad as they are now, and so that the citizens arent helpless in the face of armed aggressions.
Strongly support the right to bear arms, but historically speaking, I think it's only natural that the USA became the nation to fully embrace this idea, while in the UK, it would have been out of place.
In the US, from the get go, the people had to fend for themselves, protect themselves, hunt and look after themselves. Firearms were an indispensable tool and instrument for simple survival, and that's where the roots of the 2A came from.
Later, leading up to the revolution, as England sought to impose undue and unwanted control, American's quickly realized that they needed their arms, and not just for fending off hostiles or bears.
But the UK had, by and large, been domesticated for so long.
I tend to think that the US has been 'the perfect wave'. All the specific and right conditions were met for God to create a nation, grounded in God-centered values, that upheld God-centered freedom. America was created as the model for the nations of the world to follow, and this is exactly why Satan has worked so hard to destroy that model.
I pray that we are witnessing the great restoration of America. The world needs her.
Yup. It's going to be much more difficult for them to defend themselves and/or fight back with rounded-point butter knives, baseball bats, 2x4s, sticks, pitchforks and rocks (and spying cell-phone apps) than it would be if they had 2A items (and free speech).
'Wonder if they get special dispensation that allows them to not have to follow rules, regulations and laws(?) It seems they get special treatment for other things and the UK is "lost", so it would be par for the course.
If only Europe embraced the 2nd Amendment, they would be so much better off
How many castles did they take with wooden pitchforks ? Of corse back when they had men.
Seriously. They’ve been so long without them that they find it odd, America’s fascination with guns

Mebbe the invaders will sell them machetes
Haha, maybe.
