Most countries are paying the 2% of GDP that they all agreed to. President Trump told them to pay up last time. Germany, for instance, has about doubled its contribution since then.
But the US is paying 71% of NATO. That needs to stop.

That's my point. The US seems to be supporting a non-member who pays nothing while threatening to not help members who are just not quite paying enough.
Better yet, just withdraw. Then they can make up their own rules.
