If Britain really wants rare earth metals, the cheapest and easiest way to get them... is to let Russia mine and refine the rare earth minerals, and then buy what you want from Russia.
Britain could never mine or refine metals cheaper than Russia can.
That is zigackly true, but the Brits have piracy in their veins - they'd rather deprive some other country of resources. There is the added complication that they don't have any money to buy the properly refined Russian stuff, because spent it all on diversity - and closed all the mines (duh).
Brits even legalized piracy and called it privateering at one time, while glorifying one of the richer instigators, around the court. (Raleigh early 1600s). They published glorious boys chronicles about Caribbean pirates in the romantic Victorian age (Britain rules the waves era): Blackbeard etc. Which formed the basis of the Johnny Depp hollywood thingie, and the series Black Sails etc.. Again, such stories glorified brutal violence and sneak-attacks.
During WW2, under Churchill, the Brits perfected the art of special forces and spook tricks - complete with starting a paratrooper unit. Really it was an extension of sending small boats from the mothership, and forming raiding parties. Much of the service was as it was protrayed in James Bond and also Bourne films, complete with hard drinking, womanizing and complimented with a science department of gadgets, and weird pills, and a head, who was curiously named Q in the Bond films.
Hence the foolhardy heroics of sending a raiding party into Russia. Pure British Intelligence. And the dirty trick Starmer (& Johnson in the background) is trying to play on Trump.
Sabatini's "Captain Blood" is a great adventure tale about a thoroughly anti-English pirate. (Although in the end they bribed him off after the kingdom changed hands to a better king, so could still be English propaganda.)
Very good exposition, and far above the standard of most video commentary. Krainer was concise, to the point, and very orderly in his presentation. No wasted time. The perfidy of the British Government is on display. I can only hope Trump is sensitive to this chicanery, as the Brits were involved in the Russiagate fraud.
I must discuss a cavil about his discussion of Churchill vs. Hitler on the issue of bombing cities. The history of the Battle of Britain is relevant. The German attack began on 10 July 1940 with nuisance raids and shipping attacks. "The strategy agreed on 6 August was to destroy RAF Fighter Command across the south of England in four days, then bombing of military and economic targets was to systematically extend up to the Midlands until daylight attacks could proceed unhindered over the whole of Britain, culminating in a major bombing attack on London." (Wikipedia entry of Battle of Britain) So, the German plan had nothing to do with observing niceties about agreements not to bomb cities.
As the battle progressed, Croydon airfield was bombed (15 Aug) and Biggin Field (Bromley) was bombed (18 Aug). On 19 Aug, Croyden, Wimbledon, and the Maldens were bombed. On 22 Aug, Harrow and Wealdstone were bombed. All these locations were within greater London. So, it is no surprise that Churchill decided to respond to an evident German intention by returning the favor to Berlin on 25 August (when the Germans had already proceeded to bomb Croyden, Banstead, Lewisham, Uxbridge, Harrow, and Hayes, all part of greater London).
@ Sadness: Thanks! The behind the scenes deceit is not surprising. Krainer mentioned WWII "historian", David Irving. His views on the Nazi's being good guys is rather controversial in most circles. That might discount everything Krainer said in this video. Oh well... I won't throw the baby out with the bath water! But Hitler and his henchmen, and his disciples today, are evil.
Irving is a very accomplished historian, who only cites historical documents. He does not think the Hitler is the 'good' guy, just that there is propaganda on both sides. So any stories about Churchill must be taken with a grain of salt, just as any stories about Nazis. And in the end, the only thing that matters is the truth.
I don't understand the reference to "both sides." Which sides? I've read a LOT of books about the Third Reich, Hitler, and the events of World War II, concerning also about and by participants. The ONLY "side" that has a good opinion of Hitler and Nazism is the Nazi side (mindful of the significant difference between respect and approval).
Zelbuttisky, starmer, bore johnson, and other europeans leaders, aka the inhumans, trying to manipulate and outwit President Trump and his cabinet is laughable. Shit like this has been a significant aspect of human history. Killing hundreds of millions of people so the inhumans can profit off of human misery. Well... it is not going to work this time!
