THIS is the kind of news that should be distributed on all "news channels" to replace hate Trump rhetoric and people might start caring about the right things. Another conspiracy theory validated.
After reviewing the data, this government report isn't saying anything that we don't already know.
In a nutshell, certain atmospheric conditions will cause the water vapor being produced by aircraft to, in essence, manufacture clouds that linger for long periods of time. It is known that cloud cover will hold in the heat, thus raising the temperature.
The gov't report also states:
"These emissions include carbon dioxide (CO₂), water vapor, sulfur oxides (SOx), nitrogen oxides (NOₓ), and small carbon particles often referred to as soot or non-volatile particulate matter (nvPM). As hot engine exhaust cools in a humid environment, some of the gaseous pollutants condense into secondary particles that become good cloud condensation nuclei, thereby further contributing to the formation and persistence of contrails."
There's nothing surprising about this, either. All gasoline-based vehicles emit gases, the difference here being that they are emitted high into the atmosphere, as opposed to being at ground level.
While everything you say in your post is basically true, there is nothing in the government document that is new or surprising. The problem here is that it's going to draw out every chemtard on the planet. Sentences like this:
"Bottom Line For years, anyone who pointed out that jets were spraying particles that lingered in the sky was dismissed."
are going to be misinterpreted (intentionally) as proof of "chemtrails." Sure, particles are going to come out of the exhaust of an engine, but they're just a product of combustion, and are not due to a conspiracy to poison the planet.
So, in the interest of peace, tranquility, and harmony on the board, I am not going to reinstate this post.
Nice work, I agree. The report is typical manmade global warming propaganda that we are used to seeing from gov. This Jon Fleetwood person is misinterpreting it.

I’m not OP, but I think this is it.

You can look in the sky and see them. Why must what we see be confirmed by 'officials', before we can believe it?

Sorry, fren.

Would have been nice if Vigilant Fox or OP linked the report: https://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/headquarters_offices/apl/contrails/contrails_research_roadmap.pdf
OP did. It's up above ^.
Oh, I missed that. Agree with this removal nonetheless
Removing post for review.
