As a huge car guy I just can't get excited for new cars anymore. Hybrid EV bullshit. Undersize engines with ecus that won't allow engine swaps without losing your HVAC, dash, and stereo. Not interested. Bring back OBD2 that was plenty clean enough and didn't do everything in its power to prevent you from tuning it. You know, adjusting settings on something you paid money for and own. It's the equivalent of welding your carburetor screws so you don't adjust them. I hope they all lose money for awhile. Or nothing will change.
Hey pistol pete, I dont think "self" driving cars are going to reduce tragedy on the road... far from it. Sometimes accident avoidance involves creative solutions, and robots aren't known for their creativity. One jerks opinion.
German luxury auto manufacturer Audi said it is considering moving car production to the United States to avoid tariffs from the Trump administration.
Volkswagen’s subsidiary Audi brand said this week that it is examining various long-term strategies, including potentially shifting production to America, to deal with President Donald Trump’s restrictions on foreign imports.
Audi CEO Gernot Döllner said that the company is “currently assessing various scenarios for additional localization in North America – among other things, to be closer to the needs of local customers and to make ourselves more resilient to global economic uncertainties.”Although no firm decision was made this week, the German auto giant said that it would be announcing later this year where it intends to produce its primary vehicle models for the American market.

Also the energy prices in Germany are un-affordable, because sanctioning Russian gas is more important than having an economy, apparently.

💯 agree. Self driving spycars that you can't fix? Hard pass. Gmt800 FTW!
Having seen how people drive and my extended family suffering the consequences, self-driving cars cannot come fast enough.
Not a mandate for it, but the availability for the vast majority of numbskulls out there. I repeat. Self-driving cars cannot come fast enough.

Humans, creative?
Understand that there's no AI that's more programmed than a human being. And that programming, is faulty.
Bokaaayyyyyy.... speak for yourself i guess..
I would love to have a road runner, but I need all wheel drive.
Who downvotes this!?

You may think this is a win but let me tell you it's not. Audi designs shit like this
https://stmtuned.com/cdn/shop/products/06E109465AS-oem-audi-timing-chain-r8-huracan-diagram-pink_1024x1024.jpg?v=1644598352
Those are timing chains.
They are on the transmission side of the engine.
This is but a paradigm for their engineering as a whole. They intentionally go out of their way to make things more complicated than necessary.
That's not to say the rest of the auto industry isn't doing the same, just that Audi has always been way ahead in making clusterfucks.
That shit would be funny if it weren't true.
THE MORE COMPLICATED the MORE THE DINARO OUT OF ONES POCKET!!!!
Carry On!!!!!! Will NEVER buy an Audi/BMW due to this type of design...IF something goes out...the WHOLE ENGINE NEEDS TO BE PULLED OUT!!!!!!
