Free trade wasn’t so free.
Americans lost everything, C-Suite executives gained emense wealth through deindustrialization. And that’s what it was. Not global and de-industrialized as a nation.

This is an amazing opportunity to build things! If you ever wanted to make something, create ( the left, evil cannot create, only destroy) something, the best ever, this is it!
Well, our president is trying to make the playing field neutral, if we are charged tariffs, then we must reciprocate, if not we probably will not. Goods will go down and as we have seen this corrupt America has more than enough money, they don't need as much of our tax money as they THINK/SAY. So our rates should be a lot lower and next to nothing (and if the greedy politicians have their way the rates will go back up over time, rather quickly I think).
But I don't know what President Trump is up to-he usually has a plan and it involves a lot of moving parts, this tariff thing could be a huge part of his plan, or not.
I feel like I’m missing something, Trump has been singing the praises of tariffs. If every country lowers their tariffs to zero, and we do the same, how do we make money off of tariffs?
If other countries remove their tariffs, US products become cheaper in those countries. This leads to more sales which hopefully leads to more production and more employment here.

If the globalists say tariffs are so bad, why do other countries do tariffs?
Good for us but not for you?

Would be easier if all countries dropped all tariffs to zero.
If all countries drop all tariffs to zero then how does government charge tariffs to replace income tax?
