Exactly. For any mail pieces that people would want to mail they could pay a private service to do it. Zero need to have Post service in today's world. Literally throwing money away.
The federal government was never delegated any police powers. Those were exclusively for the States.
As far as police are concerned, we would still need some, but not near what we have today. Certainly not in the form we see them today, either. No militarization of police.
As far as the military, we would not need a large standing force, just a small full-time force, with some reserves and the national guard to augment the defenses of our borders and coasts.
The Militia needs to be fully restored to what was originally intended and established by the framers of our Constitution. The Militia was the primary check and balance against government tyranny. This quote is regarding the fact that government would be foolish to commit tyranny on the People armed and ready to hold them to account:
βWhen the government fears the people there is liberty; when the people fear the government there is tyranny.β ~ Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), US Founding Father, drafted the Declaration of Independence, 3rd US President
We need to seriously start considering forming local militia's in every community around America. I am a firm believer in the fact that we all have a spiritual, moral, and personal responsibility to protect ourselves, our families, our property, and our communities. Everyone should be armed, and fully trained in the use of the weapons they choose to own and use. Everyone should have emergency plans in place for their households, and should be rehearsing these plans with their families to the point that if something were to happen, everyone knows their role, and what they are supposed to do in SHTF situation.
Taken to the next level, if you have good and dependable neighbors, is a neighborhood plan to coordinate defensive actions across larger areas of responsibility. The recent events in the Southeastern United States should make it very plain why this would be a wise course of action, not only for defense, but for coming tot he aid of our communities in times like these.
We need to relearn what it is to be neighbors and build communities of people who care about each other and protect & take care of each other. Neighbors that have each others backs.
When seconds count, the government (including police) are minutes away. In events like this last hurricane, government is either absent, or if they do show up, dictatorial in their response. When tyrannical government is involved, they will be even slower to respond or help. Just look at how Biden & Harris are handling the aftermath of the latest hurricane to devastate the southeastern United States.
I believe that we should form local community militias and form regional militia networks in each state. These militias would train together on a regular basis. They would support each other to protect their communities and citizens from government tyranny, invasions, etc.
With the threat of internal attacks in American communities, this is more important than ever. We are in more danger within our borders today than we have ever been at any other time in the history of our Republic. Not since the War of 1812, and the Revolutionary War, have we faced the threat of attacks domestically, and within our cities, suburbs, and communities.
By doing this, we no longer have to rely on government. We can help ourselves, and our communities. More importantly, we would no longer be subject to early morning raids by police on members of our own communities. No more innocent Americans killed by no-knock warrants, nor due to LE going to the wrong address and shooting innocent people. The power would be returned to the people, where it always belonged.
Having lived or stayed long times in countries without a postal service or only privatized postal services, I have some concerns about completely doing away with the USPS and replacing it with privatized service. I do have complaints about the USPS such as 10 lbs of ads for every bill, and over the past year since I returned to the US, I've noticed that regular envelopes that used to just take a day or two to get to me have taken over a week at times. So something is certainly broken.
The only thing we ever get in the mail is an advertisement. Not that it is bad because occasionally we use the pizza coupon or car wash coupon. But with social media today that is an obsolete way of doing business.
The post office's services have been terrible the past several years. If you have anything of value, your best bet is to ship another way. Lost packages & mail that shows up a month or two months late.
There have been some theories about the US Postmaster and I believe that what they have planned will terminate this legacy.
Don't go far. People have questions
Preserve your documents and get a lawyer, there will be questions.
LMAO get wrecked, don't let the door hit your ass on the way to Guantanamo.
Hope we hang you.
Why in God's name do we need a post service? It's just a straight scam
Exactly. For any mail pieces that people would want to mail they could pay a private service to do it. Zero need to have Post service in today's world. Literally throwing money away.
Think how many trees we could save if the postal workers stopped shoving ads in our mailboxes every day.
There shouldn't ideally be any government funded services at all. Like even the military/policing could be done better by volunteer militia

No government at all, if I had my way

isn't this that pathetic POS that covered his ears like a 2 y/o when questioned in Congress (i believe) about how horrible the USPS is?

Wasn't he a massive Trump backer?

Aren't the Pope and the Postmaster General the trustees of the United States?
