Of course, and how does it work: Ukranian military is using signal, and then their devices are found, apparently broken into and "invites" are send.
However, those invites are only usable for 1:1 or group messages AFTER the link has been established.
But .... given the fact that certain people use password as their password, it stands to reason that not everybody is as eh.....knowledgeable as to how to use the signal app in a manner that is .... common sense....

Nothing wrong with the app, as long as it works as it is supposed to. Something wrong with the invite. Human error. Maybe poor housekeeping habits with the app.
The only salvation outcome I see would be to abandon the app and migrate to something else. Might this be the desired outcome? To derogate Signal in the public eye and thus make it impossible for the CIA to resist giving it up? Bye-bye backdoors and wiretaps?
What sense does it make that they're using it without knowing if it works or not or if it's defective or not?
