It says something like you have to be a "tax netpayer" and "make more than $40,000" a year. A bit disheartening if that's true, there's lots of hardworking Americans who dont make that much, that still need it :(
and wtf does a "net taxpayer" even mean?
From the article: "....net-income taxpayers — people who pay more in taxes than they get back." That would include a huge number of taxpayers, myself included.
Low income people who pay NO income taxes, of course, would not get a DOGE dividend, as they didn't pay anything in to begin with. It's not a matter of "need"... it's a matter of financial equity.
Net-income taxpayers have 'skin in the game'... zero taxpayers have none.
Perhaps they could base the refund on your IRS tax history. That would seem more equitable for people with your circumstances.
God bless you, fren, you are a saint on this earth.
There is some compensation that is available for those taking care of family like you are. Its not much...
You only get this money if the person you are caring for makes less than a given amount of money. If they make more than this amount, then it is up to this person to pay you a wage...or not.
They really want to milk you and the system via nursing homes.

I'm still confused. Am I a taxpayer if every paycheck has had taxes taken out?
Pretty much.
