So I think we really need to revisit the video of Ruby shooting Oswald. Was Oswald really shot that day or was it just theater? I have this feeling theres many layers of fake to hide the fact this was a coup run by our own intelligence services.
Allegedly, Oswald was supposed to be killed shortly after JFK was shot. There was a team of police waiting in the alley behind the movie theater where he presumably had been instructed to hide. When the film stopped and the lights came up, the cops entered the back of the auditorium. They expected him to run out one of the emergency exits into the alley, where the cops would gun him down.
But Oswald had already surmised that he was being set up to be the patsy. Once the cops entered the movie theater, he began shouting, "I am not resisting arrest!" and they had no choice but to take him alive. Apparently there was a great deal of panic in Dallas and elsewhere until they sent in Jack Ruby to shoot Oswald, ridiculously in the presence of eighty Dallas Police Officers.

He sat in the back waiting. When the police eventually walked right up to him he said "Well, it's all over now!" The police officer tried to plant a gun on Oswald. And that's when Oswald started yelling he wasn't resisting.
He was shot. No question. We also have his surgery and autopsy photos.
Make sure when you watch that video you get the one with both honks in it. NBC originally edited that out. However, right before oswald comes out, you hear a horn honk, then again right before Ruby comes out and shoots him.
You can also see several officers in the wider view who didn't react at all to the shooting. It was planned. They knew and they wanted him dead there.
