I have my doubts about this because he glosses over the asylum seekers and how it's determined if they gain asylum or not. It's extraordinarily complicated, and he fails to explain that.

It can take months, or even years in some cases, for an asylum case to be decided. During that time, they are NOT here illegally. They're given SSNs in order to get jobs and work. And yes, many times they get things like food stamps in order to feed their families. Many asylum seekers come here with nothing at all.
In some places in the US, it's perfectly legal for non-citizens to vote in local elections. But not in Presidential elections. Elon doesn't say that they were voting in presidential elections. If they had found people voting illegally in Presidential elections, I feel they would have brought that to national attention, naming names and all. They would be shouting about it from the rooftops.
And since they haven't done that, it leads me to think he's talking about them voting in local elections. I think this is a really smarmy thing to do. He knows that most people don't know that it's perfectly legal for non-citizens to vote in local elections in some parts of the country. And he knows that people will just automatically equate "voting" with "voting for president". He's counting on this to lead people to think ILLEGALS ARE VOTING FOR DEMOCRAT PRESIDENTS!!! rather than the more rational "Non-citizens (people here on student/work/travel visas, green card holders, asylum seekers all here legally) are voting in local elections where it's legal to do so."
Ugh. I just find that type of disingenuous bullshit disgusting. I think he's deliberately leading people to jump to conclusions because he thinks they're gullible. I wish people wouldn't prove him right.
But I guess we'll see soon if what he's saying isn't an effort to misguide people. If what he's leading people to believe is true, we'll see headlines all over the place about it and see all those people put on trial for illegally voting in a presidential election. It would be a huge event, with at least tens of thousands cases being tried.
If that doesn't happen, then I'm most likely right in what I'm saying. If nothing else, please remember this. Don't just memory hole it. Keep it in mind as time goes on.

Frankly I don’t care if they are here legally or not! I’m done giving to anyone that isn’t a citizen… full citizen! To vote or receive any of our resources!
Second even Americans that don’t contribute need to be uncomfortable in their non contribution. If someone has a valid issue such as age or health keeping them from contributing in the past or in the future that’s fine but the free rides have to end! I don’t have the money to even travel to another country, let alone to get there and expect food, housing, full citizenship rights, a BMW, a phone, education and medical for my entire family. Nope. No excuses. These programs are not freebies and I’m tired of freeloaders.

I watched the rally+Town Hall myself. The guy speaking with Elon did not gloss over the asylum seekers. He explained the whole process.
We all should listen carefully to the entire thing and bring out the truth by quoting him, understanding his words.
