They were on NPR yesterday complaining about having to be in the chamber to vote with an infant. Wah wah. Rebuttal noted the chamber is a deliberation meeting. Can’t debate and discuss from your couch with an infant latched on.
Rep Luna and republican friends crossed the isle to the dems and voted with them on a bill that apparently ties up other things congress wanted to vote on but now have to wait till next week. That's how I'm seeing it is all about. Just did another post with MTG talking about it and in post comments I also added what Luna said in congress this afternoon....
Republicans just seen leaving chambers to have sex with wives and mistresses. Nine months from they can reconvene to pass legislation. 😂😄😂 you all know it’s April Fools - right 🐸
Most house republicans are anti-trump because they are compromised by their own graft and scandalous behavior.
I'm not sure how voting on members of congress being able to absentee vote after giving birth to a child halts all other votes on the docket for the week. But it looks like a BS stall tactic to me.
I think we should fire the entire lot of them on both sides of the Isle.
I can’t believe that Congress was hijacked this week over Luna’s resolution to allow members to skip work and vote from home.
As a mom, I know all about seasons of life. If you aren’t capable of doing the job your constituents sent you to do, then you should step aside and let someone else do it.
We have critical bills to pass to prevent illegals from voting and to stop judges from vetoing President Trump’s agenda.
It’s a shame that selfish politicians are putting themselves before the American people.
Rep. Luna speaking in congress this afternoon -
Republicans have had the majority, as well as the ability to bring legislation to the floor on election integrity and rogue judges, for months.
Yet, at the last minute, leadership chose to tie my discharge petition to a rules package that would permanently paint me and the members supporting it as being anti-election integrity.
Leadership should stop playing political games with President Trump’s agenda.
They can bring any of the legislation to the floor. Why would they send Congress home? They’re not serious about anything they are messaging on.
I’m not in the business of lying about what is happening in DC.
how often does a handful of democrats join with all the republicans in passing anything? yet we always have that handful of republicans that join democrats because they basically are democrats...
Those turn coats have something to hide. They have interfered for the 2nd time in Trump’s Presidency, so we will give hime a couple freebies: a 3rd and 4th term.
The Speaker is dealing with a very slim majority so the decision to postpone votes until next week might relate to the prospect of his majority being increased by at least two following the special elections in Florida. While the issue involved in the rule change might not seem significant, allowing a small number of members to successfully defy the leadership by aligning with the opposition party is very detrimental to maintaining party discipline. This has always been the difference between republican and democrat leadership success. Democrats impose discipline while Republicans herd cats.
Primary each of them with MAGA patriots in 26 and point out every act of treason while campaigning. That is if they are still around.
You cant wait 2 years for Trump to start his agenda.

Here's the rule that was voted on -
Tim Burchett:
They voted to change House rules for new parent to vote after the birth of their child.

WTF? How are these two clips related? How many house members did this impact? What is going on?
One says they can't do anything for the rest of the week, and the other says members can vote after having a kid.
Great. Start voting now and be done. What am I missing?

Yeah, that's what I'm not getting: exactly how does losing this vote tie up congress for the rest of the week?
Edit: oh, I see your other post and get it now. They are playing stupid little trivial games.

The military is the only way
Any idea when they arrive?

Don’t forget they all need to heed their AIPAC handlers.
Do you think Nancy put up with this shit?
Ffs!

Or maybe President DJT’s announcement of Independence Day means corrupt house members get arrested.
Good grief!
