Been talking about the non English speaking drivers taking over the trucking industry for a long time but nobody wants to listen to an old gray haired truck driver.
Damn…this explains a lot. Working at a fire dept along I-70 in calirado we see many truck incidents. Had a ‘Russian’ driver last week with a health issue that caused him to decide to stop for a medical assessment. I didn’t put two and two together. Fortunately he wasn’t in a crash.
I find a lot of Ukrainian draft dodgers are among the truckers now... no doubt many other nationalities as well... and not one of them have a right to take that job away from an American trucker.
I live in an affluent part of San Diego and you would not believe how many Ukrainians bought homes here over the past few years, they hang their flag and it really pisses me off . I state my disapproval everytime I walk by one of their homes .
I see similar in Texas. So many Ukrainians fly over, often in business class, proceed to buy a Lexus (no financing required) and a $1500 cocker spaniel. Two hundred dollar pairs of sneakers for each of the kids, all the while taking handouts from federal and state programs.
I'm sure some of their money was made honestly back in Ukraine but probably most of it comes from the billions that American people sent over there.
They claim 'refugee' status but given the chance they fly back to visit relatives in Ukraine and don't seem to fear too much for their lives...
As someone with truckers in their family, I can 100% confirm this is happening. They are talking of retiring since it isn't the "gentlemen of the highway" anymore. They have said they can't communicate with most of the other truckers now, they have had people threaten them and try to take their shower time at truck stops, and they had to be escorted out at one point not because they did anything, but because some migrant threatened them and the truck stop wanted to make sure my family members were safe. They have said that there is way more crime at truck stops, and they are tired of being lumped in with the migrants. They started trucking in the 70's when it was cool to be a trucker. Now they can't communicate with dock workers, other truckers, and worry whenever they park at a truck stop. It's ridiculous we are going to lose such great drivers.
I tell my kids I won't drive next to or in front of a truck. I don't trust them not to kill me. I will go over the speed limit to get away from them. We used to wave and want them to blow their horns. So sad.
Need to look into agriculture ones as well. They work around a web of farms within a certain mile radius which gives, depending on farm size, and location(s) a huge radius!!
Well anyone getting a cdl is required to go through entry level drivers training they also have to get a permit and pass the road test which includes pretrup inspection etc before 2022 you just had to get a permit and pass the road test. Check out
Fmcsa.gov abd read up on the training cost for class a cdl runs into thousands of dollars. CDls are handled by individual states. Anyone becoming a trainer has to meet the federal requirements to do so. https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/registration/commercial-drivers-license/entry-level-driver-training-eldt too bad this is happening even with the additional training. In my state you are absolutely required to read write and speak English to get a cdl. I've had drivers from other states try to argue with me because they wanted to test in whatever language they spoke stating they were allowed to in their state.

Depends on the state in my state it's 150 miles
There's such a thing as a "non-domicile CDL"?!!!! I mean, the Biden regime used 100% of their time to figure out ways to destroy our country!!
