Normal human beings are not "bad" at all. They can actually get along with each other very well, given the chance.

The trouble is that not all humans are normal. Most normal people do not understand that there are two basic kind of humans in the world: normals and sociopaths.

A sociopath/psychopath is a human with a complete lack of empathy. No empathy = no conscience. Those are the people who can easily and happily do the things described in post.

They care about only four things: Power, control, food and sex.

And they cannot be cured, fixed, or changed in any way. There is no amount of counseling, treatment, or medicine that will affect them at all.

Biggest trouble is that we still haven't learned to recognize psychopaths even when they're right in front of us and running our companies, our schools, our nations, and our families. They look like normal humans and are often highly intelligent and charismatic, so we just don't see them and keep on giving them chance after chance.

Once we've learned to recognize them by their actions instead of by their appearance - then things will turn around. Then we can get them out of every level of power and make sure they never have power over us again. But not before.
