Opposition to abortion never really required much - the Democrats opposed it as well. If they didn't, they would have listened to or read the "overturn" SCOTUS ruling and did what the Supreme Court ordered them to do in their Decision. It was direct, simple, and clear: The "overturn" had nothing to do with Abortion itself, and was a Constitutional procedural verdict. There was never any law passed to base the original Roe V Wade decision on. It was illegal all along because SCOTUS can't write laws. Obama himself said this, campaigned on it, but once elected told his party it 'wasn't the right time' to even propose a bill.

They knew an overturn was inevitable. Guaranteed. Yet they avoided passing any law, or even proposing a bill, for the many decades they could... even recently when they had both halves of Congress and the President office as well, they chose to protest and showboat instead of writing a bill even if they didn't want to vote on it... probably because actually voting against their own bill would be too obvious to the low IQ base they have been showboating to while trying to invoke violent protest. It worked - far too many people don't know Roe never had any law backing it. Those I have discussed this with who are politicially indoctrinated by TV are simply disgusted when I ask them to look up 1 thing: If Roe was legitimate, what law did the original Roe decision hold up? When they can't find any, I then follow up with a simple: Why didn't any of teh Congress members who went out of their way to protest, propose a bill? Even if they expected it to fail, they could have proposed something to show the people what they were trying to accomplish, who was for and who was against, etc... yet nothing?

The whole Roe topic is a gateway to showing people they aren't represented. They are lied to and manipulated, and aren't supposed to self educate because that breaks down the showboating dishonest propaganda.
