It took actual brainpower to not just ignore but intentionally deny ATC commands to change course, change altitude, look around, and avoid the plane. One has to wonder what went through her mind before she slammed it through her many victims.
I think it was a spur of the moment suicide. The instructor was telling her what to do to prevent the collision and she didn’t do it. The instructor probably tried to take control of the aircraft but she fought him on the controls.
There was definitely some maliciousness at the controls - I think the very last communication from the helicopter was a lie to ATC when instructed to confirm visual on the aircraft she collided with. Pure incompetence wouldn't have been a lie, it would have been a request to repeat visual heading to look or something.
She just locked up. Ignored the commands. I've seen it a dozen times with female medics.. they cannot process what's happening if there is alot of stimuli. They just ignore it... its woman thing.. get pissed all you want it's true 100%
She did worse than that. After being commanded to change course and altitude which she refused to do ATC told her to verify she saw her victims, the reply was confirmation. Meaning either she lied, or she was looking directly at who she planned to murder. One thing she didn't do was lock up because that reply was seconds before death and she specifically responded to a query about making eye contact with the plane she killed. If all she had done was lock up, no answer might have made sense. But a measured normal pilot confirmation that was either a complete fabrication over the radio, or a cold blooded murderer without remorse radioing in they have victims in sight, that last radio transmission was proof she was taking direct and intentional action that caused people to die and wasn't just doing nothing at all.
Many, many red flags with this one. It took a lot of political power to put her in that cockpit.
