This ENTIRE continent was discovered by CATHOLICS & we were here centuries before the WASP's arrived on the Mayflower. The first Church established was Catholic. Yeah, there existed ONE church for over a millenia until a rebellious Catholic Monk took it upon himself to edit the bible, remove books & add words. Greedy Princes jumped on the movement & stole church property & created their own new religons. King Henry VIII, unhappy in his marriage, asked Rome for a divorce & when he was denied, he also stole church property & made himself his own Pope if the Anglican church. The Protestant Revolution was a looting operation & it led to endless wars in Europe... It's no coincidence that in God's providence was at work when the Catholic Empire discovered America, brought the faith to the New world & led to the conversion of over 9 million indians after the Virgin Mary appeared in 1536. While Europe was loosing the faith, it flourished in the Americas. God is GREAT!

Jesus lived his life as a poor man, why is "his church" rich? I left catholicism based on this. This was after eight years of Catholic school. I was agnostic for years and then Jesus found me when hard times hit. Now I'm born again!
Christ's church is rich because its been around for 2 millenia & people throughout history have donated land & money to grow the church. It's rich because we discovered AMERICA. Perhaps it was God's providence for the church to have resources. Who are you or I to say otherwise? Who are you or I to judge if someone decides to tith their wealth to the church?

I dont get it... Saudi arabia is rich AF, Israel is rich AF, Mormans are Rich AF.... but somehow the 2,000 year old church having some beautiful building is wrong? Nah, I personally like the beautiful churches that inspire the soul.
