Canadians pay for healthcare, in the form of insane taxes. It's idiocy for people to think it's free. You might not get a bill from the hospital for many things, but you do pay for it every single day with higher taxes.
I've been struggling to get people to comprehend that. In many provinces, you can go online and request a free naloxone kit be mailed to you (free of charge) so you can save a junkie's life. The kits are apparently priced at $150 or so. Many people are saying they ordered ONE and received multiple kits. The media is recommending every canadian have one. This could easily cost the country billions.

I have a friend in Vancouver who needs a knee replacement...they would put him on a two year waiting list to get it.
