Slowly enough that the normies will barely notice the whole thing, maybe apart from a few larger scenes from time to time, like a few more prominent individuals might end up in court while others might just "retire", until maybe years afterwards.
Most times actual revolutions don't end well, the American one is an exception and no guarantees you could do it a second time that way successfully. Well executed and not very noticeable silent coups tend to work better.
