Yes, I have been taking Synthroid 25yrs because I got Hyperthyroidism which is an over active thyroid. When someone has to have I guess any organ transplant they have to take medicine that keeps the body from rejecting the new organ for the rest of there lives. So not all medicine is Bad, So don't throw the Baby out with the bathwater.
Yes years ago you have to be careful and can get too much and you have to consider what you eating, I eat lots of different foods that have iodine and you get to much which will have an adverse effect such as a reduction in thyroid hormones and I need hormone replacement not the other way. But thanks for your advice.
That's true, but my thyroid was hyperthyroidism my heart was racing and they had to treat it in which just stops the thyroid from functioning which made me hypothyroidism and needing hormone replacements.
So I was just responding to the OP's that not all medicines are bad, not wanting to go off the main point that OP was making and somethings that happen to people medical will need medicines because unfortunately there's no other solution, I mean is there a transplant to replace the thyroid gland if so I haven't heard of any and besides transplants everything I've heard transplant patience have take "medicine" to prevent rejection.
Back at you, Happy Opposite Day ;)
A treatment for hyperthyroidism is to administer a radioactive isotope of iodine (iodine-131) which destroys the thyroid gland. Levothyroxine (Synthroid) is then used daily to replace the hormone in the body.
I have a tremor, it’s genetic, that requires daily meds to control it. Eventually, I’ll need brain surgery. I’m waiting, so I still need the meds that help control it. Yes I tend to agree, but my condition doesn’t fall within your statement.
There’s been a lot of discussion here at GAW on this subject. Vaccines are #1 on the list and the medical industrial complex keeps telling people that they need boosters.
Tell this to someone with a transplant, or bi-polar, or asthma, or type 1 diabetes. This is not a good meme... and it is grammatically challenged to boot.
Why am I taking the same pill for my digestion twice a day for 30 years? If I skip a couple of days, I’m not eating. I now have hope that MAHA will help get my metabolism back to normal for my age without this medication.
In 30 years I researched a lot. It my case it’s too much acid. My reflux was so bad, I had moments where I would spit it up uncontrollably. The meds I take now stopped that, but I always felt that they were treating the symptoms, but not the root problem.
I had horrible GERD and took Nexium and had yearly biopsies of my esophagus. I was "cured" by having gsstric bypass. Literally, the day after surgery no issues and no medicine needed.
to be fair not all medicine is bad, just the ones not intended for proper use.
This.
Just one example is people with thyroid problems take synthroid to replace missing thyroid hormones. It has to be refilled to continue to work.

Have you looked into taking iodine instead?

That is interesting, since Synthroid is prescribed for hypothyroidism, which is due to an underactive (or absent) thyroid gland.

My grandmother lived to be 96 taking synthyroid after removal of her thyroid.
So far, I'm at 75, still taking Synthroid for 35 years.
True
But the meme is exercising poetic license to make a point
...the real problem is no one trusts the doctors or medical establishment anymore, and for good reason
Yeah I know what you mean. I don’t trust them either. That’s why when you have to deal with them, when it’s necessary watch your back!
Always watch your back, ALWAYS
And some medicine does work but be careful you know…. For say you take something that might help you, but be careful the side effects right

You are correct, but other people have been taking meds for something that could have been curable.
Please tell us which ones you are referring to.

Have you tried nicotene patches?

Do you create to much acid or not enough? Lots of natural ways to deal with issues if you research!

Not enough dalt intake.
Just for fun, in your opinion what's ungrammatical, aside from the missing comma after WORKED?
What a low IQ take on medicine.
That’s like saying if food worked you wouldn’t have to eat everyday.
If air worked you wouldn’t have to breathe everyday.
Yes there are medicines that aren’t necessary but not every medicine is evil.
I never said all.
Oh but it does work.... for them.
Priceless!
True
And if the 'germ theory' of disease were true, there would be nobody around to discuss it
Because germs have always been and will always be everywhere
