Even if it was just wireless, high efficiency, transmission of present energy sources it would be world changing. The vast majority of our power is lost in transmission.
I do still believe he found a cheap way to harness energy as well.
Tesla's wireless power transmission is basically an AM radio station transmitter (electrostatic). It has a LOT of loss.
I once built a setup that would transmit power about 3 or 4 feet to light an LED.
You can have electrostatic coupling (voltage swing) or inductive coupling (current swing). Electrostatic works a lot better with a common ground. I think some of the wireless chargers are inductive coupling, like the inside of a transformer, but higher frequency.
It think he was also studying resonance. Resonance is a fascinating phenomenon. The Tacoma Narrows bridge incident for instance. People hypothesize Stan Meyers water car used resonance to split water at far lower input energy than usual.
I think we haven't heard the last of Tesla. This whole Trump/Tesla thing is quite a rabbit hole.
So do you believe all claims of breakthrough energy technology to which we are not allowed access are just scams and lies? Do you believe that man is currently experiencing the best energy technology that exists and that as new and better tech emerges we will have it and it won't be suppressed?
Wireless transmission confuses people, they automatically think of WiFi, its not necessarily so.
There is a Wardenclyffe tower in Texas, one a few hundred mile east of Moscow, how many more are there? They harness the Earth's energy, to get this energy hammer a steel rod at least 3 feet into the ground and attach the ready made tesla box and up comes DC power into your inverter.
When you apply modern understanding of electrodynamics to Tesla's magnifying transmitter you do end up with nothing more than AM radio transmitter, but that is NOT what Tesla envisioned.
No. Tesla's magnifying transmitter was not just an AM radio transmitter. However if you are applying the modern understanding of electrodynamics to Tesla's magnifying transmitter you do just end up with an AM transmitter, but that's NOT what Tesla envisioned.
The easiest way to explain this is the fact that modern physics outright deny the existence of the Ether. Tesla made it very clear that Ether existed. Therefore Tesla's technology will not work unless you understand that the Ether exists.
Electromagnetism is the law of the Universe. Energy is attracted to matter.
From the nano, micro, macro, and dimensional level. Electromagnetism is what binds all matter together. From atoms, molecules, planets, solar systems, stars, galaxies, and The Universe, it is the force that holds it all together. It is at the root of everything.
It's in the Ether. Frequency is the key to everything.
There are four forces: nuclear, electromagnetic, weak, and gravity in order of decreasing strength. They all apply. The nuclear force is essential to the stability of nuclei. Gravity is essential to the motions of all material bodies. Energy is not "attracted to matter." Photons radiate from matter into infinite space. Quantum physics results in energy harmonics.
No, the easiest explanation is that Tesla just constructed an AM transmitter, but didn't understand that was what he did. He was directing his efforts toward wireless communication, which was Morse Code at the time, a primitive form of amplitude modulation.
The "ether" has fallen out of favor due to the inability to define it in a way that can be materially analyzed. It was formerly attempted to analyze it under the theory of a fluid medium, but that was not entirely satisfactory. The vacuum at least can be characterized by a permittivity and a permeability, which define the speed of light. The quantum vacuum is characterized by the temporary existence of photons (and particles) in accordance with the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, which gives rise to the Casimir Force.
Lots of great books on Nikola Tesla: (1) Tesla: Man Out of Time: Wizard: The Life and Times of Nikola Tesla; (2) My Inventions: The Autobiography of Nikola Tesla; (3) Tesla vs Edison: The Life-Long Feud that Electrified the World.
I'm 72 years old - I wonder why, in school, we were never taught about Nikola Tesla? I don't even remember his name being mentioned. I've read the 1st 2 books on my list - I couldn't put them down - fascinating reads....
The previous civilization was already harnessing "free electricity" via atmospheric electricity and several other methods.
If you look carefully at historical photos, all the stone buildings from the last civilization have "antiquitech" on them...all across the entire earth realm. Antennae, mercury filled orbs, sophisticated water mechanisms (starforts et al) and other methods and configurations.
Incidentally, it's been shown that many of these buildings were constructed from red brick, which just so happens to be conductive and store electrical energy.
I believe Tesla borrowed many ideas from the old world...
The fact that they have been programing us through lying makes it difficult to discern truth from lies.
Technology does exist for us to clearly see deep into the earth. My assumption is that the pyramids were not built by Egyptians but by a previous civilization.
All prior advanced civilizations seem to have one thing in common, they were destroyed by their own technology. Which brings us to where we are now.
Let's hope Our current civilization does not go extinct because of the work done by dark forces but is able to peacefully come together and make the right decisions for us to take that next leap and become acquainted with Our Galactic Neighbors.
I pray that we don't destroy ourselves in the process because in the end nature reclaims everything.
Well, it is a choice to believe that we are "programmed with lies." It is NOT difficult to discern truth from lies, when you know what is true compared to a lie. But this belief starts out with a denial that there is no grounding reality, so all you are left with is imagination. As lies are imagination also, it is therefore difficult to distinguish between what you think to be true and what is a lie. And it is not uncommon to actually accept lies for truth if they pander to your fears (paranoia) or hopes (fantasy). I see a lot of that in comments on this site.
The seeing of the pyramids is NOT clear. It is highly inferential based on various assumptions. Study the subject of tomography and you might appreciate this. (The people who made the claim were using proprietary software. The claim has not been independently replicated.)
No evidence of any civilization being destroyed by any technology. The usual method is being overwhelmed by conquest by a different civilization.
If there are "Galactic Neighbors," we will have no choice in the matter of how things turn out. Our technology or wisdom will be irrelevant. What happens when a puppy becomes "acquainted" with an 18-wheeler?
Nature has NOT reclaimed the lost civilizations. Information dissipates into nothingness easily.
I've built the Tesla Turbine Pump for water and air, its 98% efficient, its mind blowing. I'm trying to integrate it into several applications. Very hard taking on a project of this magnitude. From protecting you ideas to law, its a dauntng thought that your work can be copied or stolen. I sort of learned alot about the man and his genius. Its shocking actually.
I have no doubts many more ideas, concepts and actual functioning designs existed, were stolen and in the end he feared for his life. Many things he took to the grave, having lost faith in mankind and the lack of faith in man being responsible.
You will be happy to know they can be purchased for sale as commercial items. The examples I saw were small scale, however. I used to think they would be a good basis for an inexpensive rocket turbopunp (disks instead of bladed rotors).
That is correct. The increased surface area is increadibly effecient and after it spools up it has this resonance coupling that takes place. A unit could double and triple rpm with the resonance coupling, its quite remarkable. I was looking into the forced induction turbo for auto and aero which seems very promising. Been mostly trying to wrap my mind around the various applications, the efficiency is unheard of. Coo that its some things you've seen in the wild though!
This is nothing but junk mythology. Tesla had a great sales pitch, but sales pitches do not produce technology.
Tesla's work on Wardenclyffe came to an end in 1905, when J. P. Morgan refused to further fund a project he had not signed up for. It was supposed to have been for wireless communication, not power transmission. Marconi had beat him to the punch. This was well before the Titanic sinking in 1912, which had no connection. Tesla had ideas about conductivity of the atmosphere that turned out to be incorrect. He knew nothing about the ionosphere, which was not deduced to exist until the 1920s. The claims of a conspiracy to prevent "free power" are complete hearsay and likely invented. There would be no difference between wireless power and wired power: they would still need receiving equipment and a kilowatt-hour meter. This would be absolutely obvious to anyone in the business---but apparently not to conspiracy theorists who don't understand the economics of power distribution.
Somebody would have to produce the "free" power, which means it would never be "free" at all. And so, enthusiasm for free power is nothing other than enthusiasm for theft of power. How is that a noble thought?
He invented no such thing. There was no demonstration. There was no patent. If it was so well stated in his patents, now public information, why hasn't anyone taken advantage of them? Why was he so insistent on completing his experiments at Wardenclyffe if it was already in the bag? At the time of Wardenclyffe, he was neck and neck with Marconi in the race for intercontinental transmission. Marconi won the race in 1902 with the first trans-Atlantic communication, and that's the point at which Morgan declined further funding, because all the investment money was headed toward Marconi.
You are evidently unaware of this history...yet you declare me to be a "stupid fuck."
Here's something Tesla said, but I'm sure he was just confused, and was actually just talking about AM radio waves. He just didn't know the difference between cosmic rays, and radio waves. Oh well.
βI have harnessed the cosmic rays and caused them to operate a motive device. β¦ I have advanced a theory of the cosmic rays and at every step of my investigations I have found it completely justified. The attractive features of the cosmic rays is their constancy. They shower down on us throughout the whole 24 hours, and if a [power] plant is developed to use their power it will not require devices for storing energy as would be necessary with devices using wind, tide or sunlight. All of my investigations seem to point to the conclusion that they are small particles, each carrying so small a charge that we are justified in calling them neutrons. They move with great velocity, exceeding that of light. "
This must have been later in his life, since cosmic rays were mainly being discovered (as such) from 1912 onward. Robert Millikan coined the term "cosmic rays" in the 1920s. Units of the power from cosmic rays are not terribly informative (electron volts per cubic centimeter?), but the general result is that the incoming power from cosmic rays is about equal to the light power coming from the distant stars. Not Very Much. Tesla was wrong to suppose they moved faster than light. He was on the right track in referring to them as particles, not waves.
this is a good, concise read on N. Tesla, nicely covered how John Jacob Astor was a backer of Tesla
From all of the Tesla papers I have read ----- yes you can get free energy ----- but it's not of a density high enough to be useful.
Tell that to a lightening bolt.
A lightning bolt would power Houston for about 0.02 seconds
But it powered Doc Browns Delorian!
1.21 GIGAWATTS!!
But how many GIGAWATT hours?
TouchΓͺ.
Kek.
How often do you get lightning bolts?
A lightning bolt would power ONE house for 6 days.
Even if it was just wireless, high efficiency, transmission of present energy sources it would be world changing. The vast majority of our power is lost in transmission.
I do still believe he found a cheap way to harness energy as well.

I think we haven't heard the last of Tesla. This whole Trump/Tesla thing is quite a rabbit hole.
IMO --- a scam to get venture capital money ---- the car ran off of the battery which made the ICE fuel (hydrogen/oxygen).
Maybe so. I still think there are big discoveries left to be made with resonance.
So do you believe all claims of breakthrough energy technology to which we are not allowed access are just scams and lies? Do you believe that man is currently experiencing the best energy technology that exists and that as new and better tech emerges we will have it and it won't be suppressed?
Correct ----- everything about Tesla's work was resonance.
He would time the spacing between lightning bolts and calculate a low frequency resonance.
What amazes me about Tesla is his lack of off-the-shelf testing equipment. I need a function generator, multi-meter. oscilloscope etc.
Yep. He was scary smart. Most people will never even understand a 3-phase induction motor, but to have invented it is a crazy level of brains.
Again, I bet you a dollar we haven't heard the last of him.
Are the tile- lined tunnels that Tesla had built under Wardenclyffe part of that frequency resonance idea?
Wireless transmission confuses people, they automatically think of WiFi, its not necessarily so.

If you want more power use more steel rods.
Something similar is used to grow strong vibrant fruits and vegetables.

Ancient technology is correct. Look at the bottom of the Giza Pyramids in Egypt. It has pillars that go down for almost half a mile.
There is no way on God's green earth that they were built by oxen and thousands of slaves with shovels and picks.
Tesla was onto something. The Pyramids are much older than we are being told.
It is also not confirmed that the "pillars" are there. They could be artifacts of the data processing used to form the image. As always, wait and see.
The fact that they have been programing us through lying makes it difficult to discern truth from lies.
