Musk was a special government employee which only allowed him to work 130 out of 365 days. He was bound to leave after said amount of time. Funny thing is, don't discount DOGE from continuing their mission.
I don't understand why people think this means DOGE itself is being shut down. Do they think DOGE belongs to Elon, like it's Tesla or X, and he's taking it with him when he leaves?
US government agencies don't shut down just because someone working for them leaves (no matter how famous they are).
Elon isn't even the head of DOGE (no matter what Trump claims). It's Amy Gleason.
Sometimes I really have to wonder what is going on in people's heads. 🤨
The same curse that plague normies has plagued quite a bit of MAGA and GAW: read only the headline and whatever (mostly unsourced) crap out favorite influencers and podcasters say and believe thoughtlessly without doing more research.

I, for one, have never heard of Amy Gleason. I am glad that Elon is not in charge of DOGE as he was being killed by the public and the politicians against Trump. He needs the rest-or to get back to running his businesses. Please explain who Amy Gleason is, at least to me. I am not too involved in the political end of this as much as I would like to be. Sometime it is really confusing to spot all the "players".

No, it doesn't matter what department they work in. They are limited, by law, to 130 days or fewer working for the US government as an SGE. The US government stays the same, no matter what department the SGE works for.
