The recent remodeling of the Oval Office being very regal, all the annexation talk of Greenland, Canada, and the Panama Canal, the very strange speech by the King, putting Canada’s legitimacy into question, talk of bringing back the gold standard, Trump’s allies talking about new constitutional amendments which would require a constitutional convention, Trump talking about a 3rd term. Trump talking about a new Golden Age, bringing back all the manufacturing back, nuclear energy, net oil production and exporter, renaming the Gulf of America, flying cars and 10 new cities.
There’s so much that points towards a massive shift in the horizon, and I think that June 4th 250th army anniversary parade, and the year long celebration for America’s 259th starting this July 4th are big parts of it.
I mean with all this talk, what else could he mean when he says America will be Bigger, Stronger, Wealthier, Safer, and Greater than ever before?

You have my vote in 2028 for another term. Unless the other two branches of government have term limits, the Executive Branch should not have term limits.
They should all be capped at 12 years in office. Three terms for Pres, two for Senate, and six for House of Reps.

I will need to think about that. All things being equal all 3 branches of the government should have the same limitations or none at all as far as the length of terms. It seems the longer they are there, the potential for criminality increases. That alone makes it a good idea to limit their terms. Then I think what if Obama didn’t have a two term limit? That could be argued, eh? 😳 The fact of the matter, the Founders didn’t design our government to become a CAREER choice. Their salary, their retirement benefits, their expense & travel accounts, their access to insider info for trading & opportunities to to steal from the people are boundless! To top it of, the blackguards only work 133 days each year with 18 weeks vacation! Aughhhhh! We are awash in useless laws. They should only meet every other year & the rest of the time live & work in their states among their constituents & cut their pay to actual days worked.
I see nothing about "Empire" in the constitution and I doubt Trump does either. I think specifically when he says "Bigger, Stronger, Wealthier, Safer, and Greater than ever before" he is not talking about changing it from a republic to an empire - I think he's talking about restoring the US to being run by the people after the corrupt DC swamp is drained... more along those lines still.
Technically. A Republic doesn’t necessarily mean “Not an Empire”. Ala the Roman Republic.
But the Founders directly modeled the Republic off of the Roman one.

The World is ultimately changing. The circumstances, situations, and conditions that ultimately birthed the World we knew and the corresponding political, economic, and social philosophies is ultimately ending. The game is done it’s only a question how long the loser will drag it out. And simultaneously the pieces are being set for a new game board.
People are naturally afraid and uncertain of what may come. Desiring the memory of bygone past days, and dreaming of old glory’s. Because they fear the uncertainty of the future and what it may mean.
I can’t say whether or not Trump is pulling a Rome and building an Empire. All I can guarantee is that the World is changing. And we are going to be asked to change and adapt with it. Some ideas will fall away. Others will survive the change. And new ones will arise to replace the fallen. It will be a New Nation and a New World. A new chapter and blank slate we are being given the privilege to write. What we do now, and undoubtedly the many moral, and philosophical challenges we will be asked to face. Will echo for centuries to come.

That and for my groceries to go back to being $200 for the whole month.
