My daughter recently got a job at UofM (as a lab manager) she has a microbiologist degree and worked 5 years at Mich State before going to this job. Her department is geology so she had no knowledge of this until it came out in the news. She has told me about lab security since she had a lab job at Central. I know for a fact that her bosses would be livid about this breach. I don’t know who to blame for this incident. Should it be UofM, Detroit metro, the students or the CCP. I suspect there is plenty of blame to go around. Unfortunately only the students will be charged. So glad they were caught but feel that it’s a geopolitical situation that will be disregarded as a one off. Because people just don’t understand that threat these actions pose.
