Long time lurker / consumer of information here. Just looking to see what the community thinks of the very public Elon / Trump spat. Is it a mis-direction, or something deeper? My gut tells me that this is for show, to get people to really look at the details of the BBB and put Congress in the hot seat. What say you?

Seems contrived. Makes the dems/libs/wackos side with Musk. Kek. Heads will be exploding. It's not that what Musk is saying is wrong. It's that this is the best Trump could do, or, Trump sent Musk out to get the bill changed to what Trump actually wants. Either way, it seems fake.
Agreed totally for show. My theory? Elon says cuts not good enough. Trump says yes it is. It will do until we can get a good bite of the apple. What will deep state do? Celebrate money in their pockets. Step in and dig in and take the cash - then DOGE will follow the money. These people are too desperate to look too close to see the string attached to that money - a string they pull that leads directly to them.

Honestly, I think Musk is being sincere. But there's better ways to handle this. Now they're both trading opions publicly.
One thing about Trump is if he let's you into his circle, he expects loyalty. If you have disagreements, then meet and hash them out. Throwing this out publicly burns bridges with Trump. He doesn't care for it. Elon going scorched earth is not a good look.
Wrong eye. Musk's was his right eye. The left eye is the marker.

It keeps the enemedia amused for a few days. Look at the shitstorm over Elon's visa comments and then that was all forgotten within a week. They're probably taking care of something more important behind the scenes.
Trust your gut.
Aside from the bill, I think it's also just part of waking up the "Elon fan" demographic (and eventually siphoning them over to Trump), just because Elon is such a moving target, eventually the people will have to look up and assess the news for themselves.
