I have a rule, I've disciplined myself into religiously adopting: Never leave yourself in a "bad neighborhood" - always pull yourself out and embrace a positive outlook - stay with it until you do.
For me, I call it, "zooming back out" when you're focused in tight on whatever drama comes across your mental screen... and sometimes (more often than not these days) - zoom out far enough to remember your soul mission and that you're eternal consciousness, playing the role of "person" for a little while along the spectrum of eternity & really...none of this terrestrial drama matters...
But hey - that's me...
