I tend to fall on the side of Nuclear Weapons are comms for Nation Destroying Info...
But seriously, all the stuff I asked in the title, I haven't seen vids yet & am wondering if any normies will ask the same questions too, or if there is a rational explanation why there isn't nuclear fallout (assuming there isn't, or it isn't made a big deal)?
Why should there be any concern? The only radioactive element present would be uranium, which is low radioactivity. I hope everyone reading this understands that our own bodies are radioactive by virtue of incorporating carbon-14 and potassium-40. Granite countertops are radioactive from potassium-40 and pitchblende (uranium ore) inclusions. We experience exposure to cosmic rays (the universe is radioactive!).
No nuclear fission has occurred. Iran does not have nuclear devices or nuclear reactors. Ergo, there are NO fission products, which are highly radioactive. And no fallout, except rock dust.
Everybody should buy a Geiger counter, and be horrified at how commonplace low-level radioactivity is. And how harmless.
I had seen a video a while back about a researcher (wish I could recall his name now) that claimed nuclear energy was lick sunshine & he would eat/swallow nuclear material on stage with an audience to show it wasn't dangerous & scary.
Another buddy told me stuff like gama rays are much different than the others $I forgetht heir reasoning. Though it made sense in that a 110 outlet will hurt, but not kill you & a transformer from a power line tower will help you meet God much faster.
I recall the person you are thinking of, but I can't remember his name either. I think he offered to swallow some small amount of plutonium. Still not a good idea, in my book, as it is a heavy metal. The normal radioactivity of plutonium (and uranium) is alpha particles (helium nuclei), which does not penetrate far into tissue. Gamma rays, however, are very high-energy photons and can go through you like sleet. Classic ionizing radiation. Typical of fission products.
I still think it is instructive to get, say, an inexpensive civil defense Geiger counter to check out each other, granite countertops, and just good old-fashioned cosmic rays. We live in this stuff, and there is an argument that, at low levels, it is beneficial to our health by constant stimulation of our healing responses.

u/winn was awesome & sent a link with the same guy. I had not seen this video yet.
Thank you for the comment.
There was no fallout because there was no nuclear explosion. Uranium is not like nitroglycerine.

tbh this video makes me wonder. But how to reconcile this with the very obvious superness of the A-bomb... something definitely differentiates that from regular explosives
What are the constituents of black powder? Sulfur, carbon black, and saltpeter (potassium nitrate). Separately, they are no big deal. Mix them together homogeneously and you have a high explosive, which is a chemical reaction (oxidation) among the ingredients.
The atomic bomb is a manifestation of a nuclear reaction, incited in a fissionable material with high sensitivity to neutron activation, AND the ability to produce more neutrons upon reacting, so as to achieve a self-perpetuating chain reaction. The primary bomb fissionable ingredients are either Uranium-235 or Plutonium-239. A chemical explosion releases the energy latent in chemical bonds. A nuclear explosion releases the energy latent in the conversion of mass to energy. It is many orders of magnitude greater (per unit mass of the explosive material) than a chemical explosion. The speed of this energy release is much higher than the speed of the propagation of a chemical reaction, as a result of the geometric growth of the numbers of available neutrons through the chain reaction process.
Does this help? It is off the top of my head, but it is correct.
Thank you for this vid Winn. I need to do a deep dive into the visuals of explosives at some point. I recall thinking some of the explosions on Mythbusters looks like small mushroom clouds & wondered how many others look like that. I can't for the life of me recall the episodes though.
Everyone thinks alpha radiation is the least dangerous because it is stopped by paper. What they don't consider is inhalation or swallowing - like in a blast. That stuff will kill you from inside your body.
