As I know the problem with those loans in USA is filling for bankruptcy would not save you from those debts. It is wrong and unjust,it is essentially DEBT SLAVERY.
I KNOW , the entire financial system is about to change and I see no harm in those that have supported the current system,s getting a rude awakening in the meantime. QUITE FRANKLY in Australia they are trying to TAX unrealised gains. SO if you hold property ie Real Estate, Gold, Bitcoin etc THEY can tax you even if it is Un Realised. Same Game, they the WHats are trying to wake up the normies.
Could a class action lawsuit put an end to the debt slavery part and allow bankruptcy? I think most people could live with that, at least those making good money would have to pay their loans.
Yes, to most of them that is probably a novel idea. Too bad they weren't brought up with values of paying back their loans when due. Also, at least Biden isn't in there saying all Americans will pay their college debt (which makes me very happy).

They've been trying that here in the States, too. Don't see any mention of credit for 'unrealized losses', though.
