I suppose I have to throw in the caveat that I know some Jews, mostly the religious 'experts' rejected Jesus as their Messiah, knew he would be crucified and called for a criminal to be released instead of him while they pledged allegiance to Cesar. I'm not defending or attacking Jews here but I'm sure not going to lay a blanket of blame on an entire people. I'm not that dumb.

The Bible says in 1 Peter 1:20 that Jesus was crucified before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in these last times for you.
In Revelation 13: 8 the Bible says ..."and all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."
No doubt some Jewish religious sects wanted Jesus killed and they tried to kill him even before the cross, but he laid down his life for his friends and those that would believe on him through their word. It was the Romans that killed him physically but only because God gave them that power, and it was Jesus that said that, not me.

He was crucified. But when he died HE gave up the spirit. He died right after he said it is finished. He had fulfilled the entire law at that moment for all men who could not do it themselves. Our only Job is to believe he dis those great works at the request of his and our Father God. Then God got His Son up from the dead to live forever.
