After narrowly getting out away from floods in central. There dozens of bots blaming Trump(of course they are) saying he defunded FEMA and national weather service which meant no alerts. "Billionaires got their tax cuts" nonsense. Fact of the matter is alerts were sent out. If its going 26+ feet in 45 minutes how can people react that fast they are foaming rabid racoons with their mental illness. Should take TDS pill. They attack people dying in Texas and the administration now. But it was kosher during the hurricane relief with bidens handling. The only peace of mind I get is knowing bots are writing up this trash to try swaying public influence. We made it back home from central. It looks like george town is now getting destroyed too.

Sadly there are a lot of people with severe TDS so those may not necessarily be bots.

TBH. If anyone in Government is to blame. It’d be the local Government and even the State Government.
They’d be the ones most likely with people on the ground. And ready access to activate County and State Level Alert systems. And apparently I’ve seen at least 1 badly affected county. Didn’t actually have any sort of plan or system in place to warn people of flooding. Not that it would probably do too much with under an hours notice. But I digress.
FEMA doesn’t usually show up until afterward. And the NWS is largely reliant on sensors, Radar, and charts. The best they can do is warn of the possibility of flooding. No more effective than the local Weather Channel in that regard.
Even still. There’s only so much that can be done. Disaster and Tragedy can still occur and happen. Regardless of all the systems and procedures in place.
I really think a not insignificant amount of people now just reflexively blame the Federal Government, regardless of whose in charge, for everything. Because it’s easier and more convenient. Not to mention local and State Government help encourage that because it can often help local and State Governments shift blame for their own failures and failings. So we’ve also somewhat normalized it nationwide as a standard default response.
When they said it hit in the middle of the night, yeah you’d have to have a REAL good alarm system for that, and we simply don’t line our rivers that way…
