I get all of that, but without tax relief soon this really hurts.
I'm a mid-50s white guy. I've had trouble finding work. Ghost jobs. Recruiters that ghost you. Recruiters that aren't interested in you unless you're the proverbial unicorn. I have an impressive certification and decades of experience, but it doesn't seem to matter with all of the H-1bs they continue let into the country. (that and DEI and corporations that continue it); yes I know Trump "stopped" it in government, but has it really changed things?) Trump hasn't done ANYTHING about that and there has been no tax relief. County wanted to raise my property taxes. I was able to get them to decrease the increase, but still they increased.
I know that Trump has a lot of balls in the air, but there is a section of the population that is hurting.
We're doing okay as my wife is working, keeping our head above water by selling some of my stock at times, but it is hard.
And yes, you could blame me for being "lazy", but the deck is stacked against me at this point.
I hear you, man. "Just hang in there" sometimes isn't encouragement enough, especially when you're working your ASS OFF to find the next job after you've been laid off. Sort of experiencing this vicariously...as our youngest son who's been a marketing manager for the past six years for a large/entrenched gov't supporting contractor was just laid off last Thursday. By all accounts, he's had a stellar run, nothing that was flagged in his annual performance...and yet, he got cut. Fine, it's ultimately on him to find the next opportunity...but as a parent, I do feel that it SUCKS for him.

I’m going through the same. June 2 my employer laid me off with severance. I can’t believe I haven’t landed a job yet. I feel empty and depressed.
My boss reduced my hours and he is giving me hard time but I am not quitting
The deck is stacked against all of us. Alot of us are hurting.... but not as much as if Hillary or Harris won.
Trump is working his ass off and his admin is working at warp speeds compared to ANYTHING we've ever seen.
We're on the path
Just hang in there.
What else? Sure hope so.
I amen that fren.
