According to Google AI: He was born a citizen of the U.K. & Colonies. When Kenya became independent, he lost his U.K. citizenship. Kenya didn't allow adults to have dual citizenship, so he lost his Kenyan citizenship at 23 when he didn't fill out the necessary paperwork work. As of right now Obama doesn't have dual citizenship but when he was U.S. Pres., Kenya changed their citizenship laws and now accepts dual citizenship. How convenient!
